Better at Home program helps BC's older adults living in their own homes by providing simple, non-medical home support services.
Services are provided by volunteers, contractors and/or paid staff. Better at Home helps seniors with simple day to day tasks, allowing seniors to maintain their independence and stay connected with their community.
We woud like to help seniors maintain their dignity and to be able to stay in their own homes comfortably.
We are looking for volunteers to help Seniors gather socially for different activities.
We would be interested in anyone who would like to help teach small classes of arts and crafts, card games, photography, computers etc. These events would not start until Covid protocals allow people to get together again.
We would like volunteers to get in touch right away so we can start to prepare and have events ready to start when time permits.
If you are 14+ years, they got so many fun activities to get involved with. You can gain valuable experience, meet new people, engage with your community, and most importantly, have fun!

1. Complete a Volunteer Application Form - available for pick up at the reception
2. Meet with Program Supervisor- you will be contacted to schedule a meeting with the appropriate Program Supervisor. They will discuss your suitability, availability and interest in volunteering. References may be contacted.
