Since 1981 the Sooke Region Museum has hosted the region’s official Visitor Centre, part of the Ministry of Tourism, Culture & Arts Visitor Centre network. We serve visitors from around the world with inquiries in person, by mail, email and phone.
The Juan de Fuca Salmon Restoration Society was formed as a result of a symposium on salmon organized by the Sooke Region Historical Society in September 2002 which was held at Edward Milne Community School. Many presenters from a variety of disciplines and backgrounds of experience made contributions to the two-day program, titled SALMON: PAST–PRESENT-FUTURE.

We are continuing to work with the T'Sou-ke Nation and the Capital Regional District Regarding our mutual interest to acquire land in the Muir Creek watershed. We also evaluate new properties, as they become available, for their suitability for parkland.

From garden consultation and design to year round professional care, Glen provides the skill and knowledge for those who love their gardens.
As Juan de Fuca regional residents we share this in common:
We are gravely troubled by the staggering rate and volume of deforestation in our region. We believe that our forests are being grossly mismanaged, and that these lands which should represent our commons have been unjustly expropriated in the name of fast profit for industry shareholders, at the expense of ecological sustainability and what is literally the birthright ground for future generations.
Our vision is two-fold:
Scouts Canada is the nation's leading youth organization. Joining Scouts Canada means starting on new adventures and developing valuable leadership skills.
Scouts Canada's mission is to help create well-rounded youth, better prepared for success in the world. Scouts is a world-wide program with millions of youth participating in 161 countries.
The Sooke Children's Garden Club meets monthly from May till October; all children from the age of 3 are welcome to attend to learn 'how to grow'. The club is free for families and thanks the Sooke Lions, Harbourside Lions and the Rotary Club for their support.
We offer the opportunity for children to learn the basics of gardening, environmental stewardship, encourage them to volunteer in our community and support the Sooke Fall Fair.
