Sooke Emergency Support Services are community volunteers available to assist their neighbours in their time of need. Whether it is one home affected by a fire or flood or an entire neigbourhood threatened by a forest fire, ESS volunteers are trained and able to provide aid, comfort and basic needs to residents of the community through those first critical hours of a disaster.
As part of Sooke's Emergency Program, this volunteer group is a division of Sooke Fire Rescue Service.
Monthly meetings are now held in the Council Chamber on the 4th Tuesday of each month @ 7:00 p.m. No meetings in June, July and August.
For information on becoming a Volunteer ESS member, or for information on how to be better prepared for an emergency situation, contact Deputy Chief Richard McLeod at 250 642-5422 or firstname.lastname@example.org
