Sooke Region Volunteer Center is pleased to provide Sooke Region Better at Home Program. This program is designed to help our seniors with those simple day to day tasks, allowing them to continue to live independently and stay connected to our Community. Under this program, Seniors aged 65+, regardless of their household income, will have access to NON-MEDICAL home services, with affordable fees based on their yearly household income.
WHICH SERVICES ARE AVAILABLE IN OUR COMMUNITY?
Transportation, Light Housekeeping, Minor home repairs, Shopping, Yard work and Companion (some services might not be available yet)
WHO IS AVAILABLE FOR SENIOR SERVICES?
This program is open to ALL residents of Sooke Region (Sooke, East Sooke, Otter Point, Shirley and Jordan River) age 65+, regardless of income. Seniors will be asked to provide proof of age, residency and household income. Fees for service are based on yearly household income as shown on your annual Canada Revenue Agency Notice of Assessment.
HOW DO I APPLY FOR SERVICES?
By contacting Sooke Region Volunteer Center. We will make an appointment to visit you at your home to discuss your needs and how we can best provide the right services to meet them.
Our Sooke Region Volunteer Centre is open on Tuesdays and Thursdays between 12.30-4.30pm and on Wednesdays between 9.00-12.00 pm.
