Horseshoes is an activity for all ages from youth to seniors. You can play just for fun or join an organized leqgue and play for competitive events. We will provide free lessons for anyone who wishes to learn the art of pitching horsehoes. Please check out our new website!
The Sooke Children's Garden Club meets monthly from May till October; all children from the age of 3 are welcome to attend to learn 'how to grow'. The club is free for families and thanks the Sooke Lions, Harbourside Lions and the Rotary Club for their support.
We offer the opportunity for children to learn the basics of gardening, environmental stewardship, encourage them to volunteer in our community and support the Sooke Fall Fair.

Rush Adventures offers kayaking lessons for the beginner or intermediate paddler. Surf courses and rentals available as well. Rush also has guided one day tours or multi-day camp and kayak adventures.With our waterfront shop and easy access dock at Coopers Cove, your paddling in just a few minutes after arriving. Our courses and programs can be customized to suit your needs. Group rates are also available.

Sooke and Electoral Area Parks and Recreation Commission (SEAPARC) creates recreational opportunities for the public through development, provision and operation of recreation facilities, programs and activities. SEAPARC is a partnership of the District of Sooke and western communities in the Juan de Fuca Electoral Area (Port Renfrew, Otter Point, Shirley, Jordan River and East Sooke). The commission serves the residents of these areas.
The Sooke Bike Club is dedicated to building a friendly and organized local mountain bike community in Sooke. We do this by supporting and encouraging riders of all ages and abilities through fun events, mentorship and volunteer opportunities. The Sooke Bike Club assists land managers and owners in their efforts to include bike trail systems on their lands, and promotes Sooke's trails and opportunities to the global mountain biking community.
