With roots dating back more than 65 years in the community, the Sooke Region Chamber of Commerce is considered a vital resource and advocate for Sooke's business community.
Having one of the strongest membership bases per capita in British Columbia, the Chamber operates as a not-for-profit organization and is led by a dedicated group of volunteer Board of Directors representing various business sectors in the Sooke region.
Under contract with the local municipal government, the Chamber is responsible for providing economic development services as per a fee-for-service agreement.
The Chamber’s activities and initiatives are based on following its core purpose, which is identified as:
a supportive resource for local businesses to achieve greater success to facilitate new economic development opportunities to foster positive business relationships with the community to constructively influence public policy and governments in supporting free enterprise
