Operating out of the Sooke Community Hall, the Sooke Loan Cupboard lends out medical and rehabilitation equipment (eg. wheelchair, canes,crutches etc.) to members of the public in need.
Sooke Meals on Wheels is a 100% volunteer organization offering a program which provides weekly hot meals Monday, Wednesday and Fridays to any person unable to prepare meals for themselves. Frozen meals are also available on request for any day of the week.
Looking for interested individuals that can help a few hours a month delivering food (driving) and or carrying meals into client homes (assisting) on one of two scheduled routes.
Time commitment: A little over one hour per shift; at the most, 3 hours per month.

SRVC is looking for volunteers to provide clerical services in the office located at 6672 Wadams Way. Some tasks include: scheduling appointments, maintaining database, type and edit correspondence, answering questions regarding volunteer program and community resources, and greeting and assisting walk-ins. It is a lovely way to discover all the wonderful happenings in our community and to learn about resources.
Victoria Literacy Connection is expanding to Sooke Region to provide free tutoring for children, youth and adults. They are looking for students and tutors. This is a literacy program serving children AND adults.
Sooke Loan Cupboard requires one or two reliable individuals that can assist Monday mornings between aprox 10:45 - 11:45 with cleaning equipment loaned through their program. Even if you can commit once or twice a month would be great.
