Position Title: 

Harmony Project Sooke (HPS) is a non-profit society that promotes the positive development of youth and community through music, HPS provides musical instruments and instructions to children and youth in the Sooke area. The students participate in after-school music classes (String and Drumline) and also perform at a variety of community events throughout the year. We are looking for a person who is enthusiastic about education and music (but no musical skill is required) to act as a Fundraising Coordinator.

Public Relations person who will bring Scouting in Sooke into the public eye. 

  • Write pieces for local newspaper/online papers
  • Take or acquire photos of local Scouting events
  • Become familiar with all available ways to promote Scouting locally
  • Suggest ideas of how Scouting can be involved in the local community

Beaver Leader will be responsible for:

  • Working with youth ages 5 to 7 years, mainly crafts & games
  • Weekly meetings on Tuesdays at 6.30 pm at Camp Barnard
  • Participation in Beaveree (camp) and Beaver Buggy races
  • Attend monthy group meetings
  • Assist Contact Souters who currently run the Beaver Colony meetings (More adults needed to meet required ratios)
