Harmony Project Sooke (HPS) is a non-profit society that promotes the positive development of youth and community through music, HPS provides musical instruments and instructions to children and youth in the Sooke area. The students participate in after-school music classes (String and Drumline) and also perform at a variety of community events throughout the year. We are looking for a person who is enthusiastic about education and music (but no musical skill is required) to act as a Fundraising Coordinator.

Fundraising coordinator will:

Take the lead in developing fundraising goals, action plans and the implementation of these goals and plans
Work with board members and other volunteers to conduct two to three fundraising events during the year (possible ideas include bottle drives, celebrity carwash, concerts, painting party etc.)
Be the principal contact on fundraising matters for HPS
Work with the treasurer to record fundraising data.

The position is of a longer term upwards to one year commitment.
