We are a family oriented club promoting and teaching the art of Shotokan Karate as well as street defence.
Our primary goal is to develop self-confidence and discipline, while teaching self defence techniques that will enable our students to protect themselves in dangerous situations and to deal with life's more unpleasant moments. Along with the student's physical fitness and mastering of techniques, there should also be mental and emotional growth and development. We do not promote aggressive behaviour, and such conduct is not tolerated.
The Esquimalt Military Family Resource Centre (MFRC) provides a range of programs and services to address the unique needs of military members and their families. We offer some programs in the Sooke Region directly.
Our mandate covers four main areas:
Personal Development and Community Integration
Services include welcome and relocation assistance, a 24-Hour Information Line, second language courses, support to the Francophone community, and community outreach.
We're a local church that meets in four locations across British Columbia, Canada. As a church, we are compelled by the love of Jesus to be a part of what He is doing in our community and around the world. Our hope is that we can serve you in your journey as you find hope, life, and purpose in Jesus.
We are an evangelical youth ministry that believes effective children's and youth work is built around relationships.
We serve in partnership with local churches to provide holistic youth resources for children and young people. Within all of our groups we want children and young people to discover the good news of Jesus as they explore the Bible.
Campaigners are reaching out to children and young people with the good news of God's love in Christ.
Katherine Paxton Counselling Services offers counselling and some behavior support services for children and adults on the autism spectrum, and families who have a member on the autism spectrum. Outreach in-home services to the Sooke area are offered at no extra cost. The initial hour consultation is free. Services are approved for provincial autism funding.
Our mandate is to build a neighbourhood of strata-titled housing for seniors that is affordable, environmentally friendly, and socially/culturally supportive, allowing people to flourish through mutual support as they age in place and in community.
