The Sooke Youth Council is a group of young people aged 13-21, facilitating new opportunities for youth to be leaders in grassroots community action and regional decision-making in Sooke. Its mission is to improve the perception and outlook of Sooke through youth engagement in positive progress. Its objectives are to initiate and organize a host of new events and initiatives, such as concerts and monthly film nights.
The Esquimalt Military Family Resource Centre (MFRC) provides a range of programs and services to address the unique needs of military members and their families. We offer some programs in the Sooke Region directly.
Fung Loy Kok Taoist Tai Chi is a volunteer-run registered charity dedicated to bringing theTaoist Tai Chi Internal Arts of Health and other health promoting Taoist arts to the public. The Society was founded in Toronto in 1970 by Master Moy Lin-Shin, a Taoist monk. Master Moy has synthesized the wisdom he learned in more than 50 years of training in martial arts, meditation, chi-kung and other Taoist practices.

Glen Thelin, owner of Glen's Gardening Company, is now offering professional gardening expertise to residents of Sooke. He specializes in year round care of mature, established landscapes where in-depth plan knowledge, fine attention to detail and seasoned gardening expertise are essential. From garden consultation and design to year round professional care, Glen provides the skill and knowledge for those who love their gardens.
Our mandate is to build a neighbourhood of strata-titled housing for seniors that is affordable, environmentally friendly, and socially/culturally supportive, allowing people to flourish through mutual support as they age in place and in community.
Harmony Project Sooke is a non-profit society that provides musical instruments and instruction to children and youth in the Sooke area.
Modelled on the award-winning Harmony Project in Los Angeles, the project in Sooke was launched in 2016 to promote the development of healthy youth and vibrant community through musical education and ensemble participation.

Island Swim Club operates programs for swimmers of all ages in the Greater Victoria Area. We believe in the potential of all athletes and promote swimming as a long-term development and life long skill. We are a non-profit age group swimming organization operating out of 3 pools: Colwood - West Shore Recreation Centre; Saanich - Saanich Commonwealth Place; Esquimalt - Naden Athletic Centre

The Sooke Strings Orchestra is open to students in both middle school and high school. Our emphasis is on instrument technique and ensemble skills, with students participating in large ensemble rehearsals and instrument sectionals.

We are continuing to work with the T'Sou-ke Nation and the Capital Regional District Regarding our mutual interest to acquire land in the Muir Creek watershed. We also evaluate new properties, as they become available, for their suitability for parkland.
