We are currently looking for some volunteers who will be interested in supporting us in the office. If you like clerical work, want to handle inquires and provide information, are eager to maintain our database or schedule appointments we would love to hear from you. It would be great if you have some office experience, but we do not mind training you. Work hours are flexible. It will be just one day a week. It is a very friendly office environment. Meals on Wheels
Help feed people in need by getting involved with Meals on Wheels.
Meals on Wheels is a program in Sooke that provides people in need with nutritious, affordable meals. A small group of locals get together every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at the Sooke Community Hall and prepare fresh meals to be sent out

Enjoy a community breakfast. local food and craft booths, children's face paining and games, live entertainment, and cake shaped like Canadian flag at the annual Canada celebration hosted by the Sooke Lions Club at the Sooke River Campground. People are also welcome to to bring their campers and stay for the weekend
An annual celebration of all things Shirley. The event is a family affair with music, events for children, a pie and watermelon-eating contest, display of the fire trucks and a slew of vendors and crafters
The 32nd annual art show is expected to display more than 300 pieces of work including paintings, sculptures, drawings and photographs. The event rung from July 27th to August 6th and also features a gift shop, bistro, special events for children and senirs, daily live artist demonstrations, lectures and music
Come to see some of the area's ripest produce, beautiful artwork and hand-made crafts, listen to live music, taste local wines, beers and food, or spend the day playing with local farm animals at the petting pens. There is something for everyone to enjoy at the Sooke Fall Fair
