Juan de Fuca Search & Rescue member Chris Grange and the Grange Family are seaching for Bill Grange, their beloved family member and friend. Bill went missing in Bermuda, while on vacation with his wife.
JDF SAR members will lead guided hikes, of various levels:

The Sooke Youth Show Choir is putting on the JUNGLE BOOK at Ed MacGregor Park, West Coast Road, Sooke, on Fri Jun 20 7:00 p.m., Sat Jun 21 7:00 p.m., and Sun Jun 22 2:00 p.m..
Tickets available at Shoppers, the Stick, and East Coast Grocer.
The kids have worked so hard to put together a musical suitable for all ages - all money goes towards the cost of the show!
How exciting to be producing an open-air production of the Jungle Book in Sooke.  Please spread the word!

Sooke Seniors Activity Society (Bus) are having their AGM at the Senior Drop-in Centre on Thursday June 19 at 11:00 if you would like to attend. Like many organizations their big need is volunteers on the board with new ideas, etc. For more information contact Kay Forde  whforde@telus.net

Every Thursday from June 5th - september 4th, 2014 from 5:00 - 8:30 p.m. at the Sooke Region Museum at the corner of Sooke Road and Phillips Road.

Food, crafts, entertainment and more!

Join us for our annual Open House & Salmon BBQ.  Behind the scene tours; new exhibits; free tours of the Lighthouse and Moss Cottage; entertainment and our special tranditional slow cooked Salmon BBQ!

Noon to 3:00 p.m. at the Sooke Region Museum on the corner of Sooke Road and Phillips Road.

Our summer exhibit looks at the rich history of award winning inns, resorts and other accommodations in our region.  Upstairs at the Sooke Region Museum on the corner of Sooke Road and Phillips Road.  Watch for the historic light house.

The construction of a pipeline during 1911 - 1915 to carry water from Sooke Lake to Victoria is one of the most remarkable feats of engineering to take place on Vancouver Island.  View the pictorial history of the challenges and the people who made it all happen.  The exhibit is done in conjunction with the Charters River Salmon Interpretive Centre.  The exhibit will be held at the Centre, 2895 Sooke River Road, Sooke.

Durning the months of July & August, the Sooke Region Museum will be holding a variety of Summer Camps for Kids. July 21-25 will be a full week program. We will also have half day camps most mondays in July and August. Go to http://www.sookeregionmuseum.com/museum_summer_camp.pdf for details.
