This fair was held again in conjunction with National Volunteer Week in April 2014. We always aim to support non-profit organizations and one way is to use non-profit space for our events. This time we chose the Sooke Child, Youth and Family Centre. We had 24 organizations presenting. While this is substantially less than last year's event there was still a lot of networking happening and some key connections where made.
Come one, come all to the Sooke Harbourside Lions' annual Rubber Duck Race on May 10th, 2014 at the Sooke River Flats on Phillips Road. Admision is free and it is a day of fun and games including a bouncy castle for the kids and hot dogs and more. Watch your duck come to the finish line. Duck tickets are $5 each or 5 for $20. The first prize is $1000. Second prize is $500. Third prize is $400. Fourth prize is $300. Fifth prize is $200. Sixth prize is $100.
