Island Health and AIDS Vancouver Island are partnering to provide a free overdose prevention and Naloxone training in Sooke, and would appreciate it if you could pass this information along to friends, family, and co-workers in the Port Renfrew/Sooke/Westshore area.  Many thanks, Hermione

Please donate your "twoonies" at various locations all around Sooke this Tuesday, June 6th.  All donations go toward the Sooke Food Bank.

The Spirit Train is a concert of remarkable music celebrating train songs, African American spirituals and a few transcendent pieces by Woody Guthrie, The Beach Boys and Billy Joel just to keep it all choo chooin’ along. The fresh and deeply inspired arrangements sung by the Sooke Community Choir under the direction of Bruce Ruddell, Artistic Director, also include powerful piano accompaniments and a solo work performed by Kathy Russell with original percussion arrangements played by renowned Victoria percussionist Kelby MacNayr.

The Sooke Rotary Auction & Spring Fair promises a day of fun, food, and bargains galore. Come have some fun and support a good cause -- this event funds much of the club's community service projects.

It's a brand new year and we're getting ready for a new show! Volunteers and Society members are invited to attend the first meeting of the season to help us plan the coming year and our 31st show!  We will present a quick recap of the 2016 Show, introduce Team Leaders and the new Board of Directors, and talk about what's in store for 2017!

The Sooke Community Arts Council, the Sooke Fine Arts Society and the Prestige Hotel in Sooke are happy to announce that Appetite for Art 2017 will be happening again in March at the Prestige Hotel in Sooke.
 
Dates: Thursday, March 9 & Friday, March 10

 
A Gala Art opening with Food Pairings by local establishments will be held Thursday evening from 7 pm to 9 pm with the Art Gallery portion open to the public by donation from noon to 9 on Friday.
